Dr Sanjeev Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the geotechnical engineering area at the Department of Civil Engineering, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Ill.

Professor Kumar has received his Ph.D. degree at Univerity of Missouri - Rolla in 1996

Dr. Kumar's main interests are in the areas of dynamic soil-structure interaction, piles under lateral loads, settlement prediction of landfills, seismic analysis and design of landfills, ground motion amplification in soils, liquefaction of silts and sands, and machine foundations.
