Dr. Costas A. Anagnostopoulos is the Research Manager of the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece.

His areas of research work are cement grouting, chemical grouting, effect of chemical admixtures addition on cement grouts properties, soil stabilization and improvement of their properties. He has fifty publications in various National and International Journals/Conference proceedings.

Dr. Costas A. Anagnostopoulos teaches Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical and Underground construction.

Dr. Evangelos I. Stavridakis is a Lecturer at the Laboratory of Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering Division, Department of Civil Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece

Dr. Evangelos I. Stavridakis holds the following degrees: B.Sc., Geology, Arist. Un. Thessaloniki, Greece; M.Sc. Engineering Geology and Geotechnics Un. of Leeds, England; Ph.D. Civil Engineering Department, Greece.

He has done research and published extensively on Soil stabilization of swelling clays (mixing of clays with cement, or calcium hydroxide or calcium hydroxide with sodium chloride or calcium hydroxide with sea water). This study evaluates the improvement of unconfined compressive strength, of Atterberg limits, the relation of swelling pressure, swelling (%), activity of the clay and shrinkage with particles <2µm etc. (this study still continues); The effect of ageing in an aqueous environment on the engineering properties of the Oxford clay at Univ. of Leeds (1977); Cement grouting by using cement and acrylic resin etc. Modelling of erosive environmental agents in the laboratory.
