Sudeep kumar Chand graduated in Civil Engineering in 1985 from Regional Engineering College (presently, National Institute of Technology), Rourkela, Orissa, India and joined as a Research Staff in the Water Resources Management Center in the same Institute. He obtained his Master’s degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering in 1989 and joined as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering in Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang (Orissa), India where he became Senior Lecturer in 1995 and then Assistant Professor in 1998, the post in which he is continuing at present. He carried out his doctoral research work on the topic, “ Lime Stabilization of Pond Ash by In-Place and Mechanical Mixing Methods : Geoenvironmental and Strength Considerations” as a QIP Scholar in the Civil Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur under Quality Improvement Programme of Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. His research interests include Geo-Environmental Engineering, Ground Improvement and Groundwater Hydrology.
