About Mete Öner

Mete Öner in 1970's
This is my 70's look(*)
1974, Trondheim, Norway

(*) This is how I thought I should look from then on, but God seems to have disagreed. She (yes, sometimes I think God is a woman!) keeps "enhancing" me laterally and gravitationally. She keeps making chocolate and other fatty food tastier all the time!..
I never had beard before or after that brief period when this picture was taken. So this is not too representative, and I'm adding new pictures all the time... Here they are

You can see Alan's page or Susan's awards or websitegarage and mach2media sites for Susan's web work. She currently works at Google company.

I enjoy Classical Music and my favorite works are the immortal Ludwig's symphonies.

My favorite Star Trek Captain so far is Janeway

I think I'm a typical engineer

When I can't solve a geotechnical engineering problem I do what Kelly Bundy does (38k WAV file)

We have the reddest clay in the world. Yes, it is CH (The pond in the picture shown here did not require any lining).

If you look carefully you'll see our red clay in this picture (if you can't see it click on it to get a bigger version).

Here is a more romantic view of theta pond (73k)

And for those with fast connnections and loved the picture, here's a larger version thereof. (259k).

I also have a slightly more serious version of my CV

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
