Scope & Call for Papers

Scope:

The Electronic Journal of Geotechnical Engineering (EJGE ) is a new electronic journal that is available on the World Wide Web. EJGE is supported by a distinguished advisory and editorial board, has high scientific standards and takes advantage of current electronic document technology.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Conventional Problems of Geotechnical Engineering:
New developments in the classical areas of bearing capacity, settlement, lateral earth pressures, and slope stability; such as new theories, testing and verification studies, and computer applications.

  • Geosynthetics:
New ideas, uses, and developments in the area of geosynthetics.

  • Environmental Geotechnics:
New applications and inventions in the fast developing field of geoenvironmental engineering.

  • Soil Dynamics:
New theoretical developments, applications, and field observations in soil dynamics and geotechnical earthquake engineering.

  • Computational Geomechanics:
Geotechnical knowledge representation; multimedia and world-wide web applications to geotechnical engineering; applications of artificial intelligence (or natural stupidity); user interfaces and visualization; computer graphics; computer-aided design.

  • Emerging Fields of Study:
New problems in search of answers, in materials science, transport, and other relevant developments.

Researchers and practicing geotechnical engineers are cordially invited to submit their contributions to the profession to the Editor. Please see the Authors' Guide for information on manuscript submission.
